Nationwide Tour Utah Championship

I played well in the Monday qualifier this week, so I got to play in my first Nationwide Tour event in 5 or 6 years.  I was pretty pumped.  I wasn't planning on even playing the qualifier until the day before the deadline, and things just came together.

I wasn't really sure what to expect, but I felt pretty comfortable on the course during the tournament.  It was nice to have a little local support, and there was some cheering with my early birdies.  I was off to a good start in both rounds, running into a little trouble in the middle part of each day.  I battled, but 72-70 wasn't good enough to play the weekend.

I was able to bring the family out to experience what tour life can be like.  They had a blast.  Having Nicki and Zac to breakfast in the family room brought me back to when I was a squirt tagging along with my dad.  Doesn't get much better than that.

It was nice to get another taste.  Looking forward to playing better in the next one.

Luke
