I got off to a rough start in Canada. Two missed cuts before the "US Open Break" hurt. I withdrew from the Calgary event yesterday.

My game wasn't bad. It wasn't good either. Something just wasn't there. I wasn't sharp. I can't point out any glaring mistakes, but I didn't score.

So I'm going to try to make some money around home for a few weeks. We'll see how things go, but I hope to be back in action as soon as possible. Canadian Tour status is there when I'm ready. Hope to get it worked out soon. Not worried about things, thankful for everything I have.

I struggled to score last week in Victoria. I played decent, but I couldn't save the bad holes. 74 the first round left me struggling to make the cut, while not being out of the tournament.

I got off to a mediocre start the second round, but got hot. I birdied 7,8,10, and 12, missing short putts at 9 and 11. Then I made a bogey from 120 in the fairway on 13 to put me in a rough spot. A pathetic double at 16 ended it. 74-70--144. Cut was 142.

So it was a rough week. I was planning on staying in Victoria to practice, but Friday night was rough. I had people pounding on my hotel door all night, and some "shady" activity going on all night. I was out at 6 am.

I spent Saturday and Sunday in Seattle. I made my way back across the border, and my hotel is 1000 times better than last week (now watch my car get stolen tonight...). The course this week is set up much easier than last year, mostly from lack of rough. The rough last year was US Open like, while this year it's fairly tame. Good driving will still pay off, but there's not as much of a premium placed on hitting fairways.

I go at 12:30 Thursday. Scores are always updated as we play at cantour.com.

Picture?? This is a terrible shot of the tenth tee and the tents surrounding 18, taken from the practice green. Bad pic, but this place needs some color...
