Merry Christmas!!!

Hopefully you're all enjoying a "relaxing" Christmas season. I'm very thankful for my family, friends, and life in general.

Still figuring out what next year entails. Might be Canada, might be a job, we'll see. I have ONE tournament on the schedule so far. Second week in January I'll be playing the Coral Canyon Open.

Third week in January I'll finally be attending a USGA rules of golf workshop. I've always kept myself up on the rules, and this has been one of the things I've really wanted to attend. Who knows, I think I could be a great rules official, and it never hurts to have more than one "Road to the Tour." I really want to play, though, and I am still looking forward to being a playing member of the PGA Tour.

I'll be in touch. Snowballing a few wins will always pay for itself. Tough golf in Utah right now. It has snowed so many days in a row, they're all starting to blur together. Not a lot of golf for me at the moment.

Happy Holidays!

Awesome Finish

My best buddy Wil Collins was the star of the final day of Tour School. His 25 foot putt on the last hole got him a card, and I couldn't have been happier. I have trouble rooting for my peers, but I was leaping up and down when his last two putts went in.

Congrats Wil!!!

Tour School Finals

Wow, it's crazy watching so many people at finals who I know or who I've played with. It's getting me fired up.

I'm playing in the Nevada Open this week in Mesquite. I've got two tournaments on the schedule, this and the Coral Canyon Open in January. The rest of my golf schedule is up in the air. I just don't know right now. A lot will depend on how I play in the next two tourneys.

I've paid my dues for the '09 Canadian Tour, so I have a great spot for next year. Whether I'll play or not, I don't know. Money is tighter than ever, but if I play good that doesn't matter. The money will take care of itself if I play better.

So that's where I'm at. I took a lot of time off after tour school. Weeks without touching a club. I just didn't have any ambition, but I've been hitting a lot of balls the last few weeks. I found a spark, working hard became fun again. I haven't played many holes, though, so I'm just getting back into that part of things.

I'm looking forward to this week. It feels good to be preparing for a tournament again.

I've been a bit shamed into posting by the comments of the previous post. I got lazy, now I'm ready to get serious.
