Nothing is set in stone yet, but I'm starting to really put together my schedule for next year. Right now the plan is to play the Canadian Tour full-time in the summer months. They're trying to add a few more events this season, so that is a good thing. The more options every week the better.
Early next year will probably be a mix of mini-tour events, depending on how I like each tour. I think I'll be trying a couple I haven't played in yet. The Butch Harmon Tour in Vegas has been pretty solid, and it's much easier to drive to Vegas than Southern California. We'll see how those tournaments work out.
There is a new mini-mini-tour starting up in Utah too. The Wasatch Tour has been having some small events locally, and they're planning a tournament every other week this winter in St. George/Mesquite. These should help to fill up the winter schedule, giving me the best chance to be prepared going into the Canadian Tour season.
The weather has been really bad around here as it relates to golf, so these early season tournaments will be very important to get the rust off. I feel extra motivated this year, so I don't think the layoff has hurt me at all. I feel more refreshed than I ever have. Batteries are charged, and I'm ready to go.
Now we're going to have a great finish to the holiday season. I go a long time during the year without seeing my family and friends, so this is an important part of the year for me to get back in touch.
To get a feel for what my schedule might look like, here is a link to my calendar. Pretty rough right now, but it will get locked in as the year goes along.
Merry Christmas!
